(Emmetsburg)– Iowa Lakes Community College and Career Academy students demonstrated outstanding talent and skill at the 2025 Iowa SkillsUSA competition, held in Des Moines, Iowa.
Representing the Boat & Watercraft Technician, Construction Technology and Powersports and Power Equipment Technology programs, Iowa Lakes students earned multiple top honors against the best career and technical education students in the state.
Among the standout achievements:
- Tate Myers (Iowa Falls, Iowa) earned Gold in the Post-secondary Carpentry competition.
- Brody Van’t Hul (Rock Valley, Iowa) secured Gold in Marine Service Technology
- Antonia Capece claimed Gold in Power Equipment Technology.
- Michael Anderson won Gold in Motorcycle Service Technology.
- Drew Prins earned Silver in Motorcycle Service Technology.
- Brice Rooney took Bronze in Motorcycle Service Technology.
- Jeremy Anderson earned Silver in Power Equipment Technology.
- Jacob Grau-West claimed Bronze in Power Equipment Technology.
Gold medalists will advance to represent Iowa Lakes at the prestigious 2025 National SkillsUSA Championships, taking place in Atlanta, Georgia, from June 23 to 27.
