(Arnolds Park)– The 4th of July is now just a little more than three weeks away. Fundraising for the annual fireworks display over West Lake Okoboji is in high gear. Morgan Strauss of the Iowa Great Area Chamber of Commerce says they once again have several different levels of sponsorships for donations…
“Sparklers start at up to $99; Sizzlers are $100 to $249; Starbursts are $250 to $499; and then a Rocket one is $500 to $999 and then we have those Bomb sponsors as well from a $1,000 to $4,999 and then the Comets which is our top sponsors, $5,000 and up.”
Those who donate $250 or more will have their name mentioned on KUOO prior to our montage of patriotic music that will once again accompany this year’s fireworks. Donations will also be listed at Okoboji Chamber-dot-com. Strauss says there are several ways to donate…
“You can head over to okobojichamber. com and click our events tab and there’s a dropdown for 4th of July fireworks. You can donate right online. You can give us a call and you can pay with a card over the phone; mail in a check; or you can even pop into our office here and say hi to us and we can get you taken care of there as well.”
The Friday, July 4th fireworks display will immediately follow the concert at Preservation Plaza featuring Pet Rocks.
