Morrison reminds deer hunters they need a special deer license and that you must carry your own license. It’s illegal to shoot from the road right-of-way, and Morrison says hunters need to remember and obey trespass laws. He says you don’t actually have to set foot on someone else’ land without their permission in order to be trespassing…

Morrison says it’s also important to remember that shells have a tendency to ricochet.
Hunting hours for the firearm deer season are from one-half hour before sunrise to one-half hour after sunset.
