(Estherville)– A Guthrie Center man faces drug charges following an incident Monday evening in Estherville.
Estherville police say they were called to an apartment at 536 South 10th Street after a neighbor complained of smelling burning marijuana. Upon arriving officers conducted a consent search of the apartment during which they located a bag believed to contain marijuana, along with drug paraphernalia. The department’s k-9 made an indication that the bag contained an illegal substance.
Officers then obtained a search warrant for the bag. As a result, they found nearly three ounces of what’s believed to be marijuana along with drug paraphernalia and a scale.
18-year-old Brick Imerman of Guthrie Center was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance with intent to deliver…marijuana…a class “D” felony; and possession of drug paraphernalia…a simple misdemeanor.
Imeman made an initial court appearance Tuesday. He remains in the Emmet county jail on a $9,750 cash or surety bond.
