(Spirit Lake)– An event Tuesday (June 10th) at the driver’s license station at the Dickinson County Treasurer’s Office will commemorate the importance of organ donations.
The Iowa Donor Network, in partnership with the Iowa D.O.T, will have representatives on hand for the “Drive for Life: Emily’s Legacy DMV Tour”. The tour celebrates the life of Emily, daughter of Liz Markert, and raises awareness of the life-saving impact of organ and tissue donation. Representatives will be on hand from 9:00 am until 11:30 am. Liz Markert will also be at the event to share Emily’s story and encourage donor registration.
The driver’s license station and Treasurer’s Office are located just inside the west entrance of the Dickinson County Courthouse in Spirit Lake.
