Estherville City Council Approves $50,000 Allocation To Help Keep A Daycare Facility Going

(Estherville)– The Estherville City Council voted 5-0 Monday to approve allocating $50,000 in Local Option Sales Tax revenue to assist the Tiny Treasures Community Daycare Capital Campaign, a non-profit operator of an existing daycare, with the purchase of Little Wranglers, a for-profit daycare provider in Estherville. Officials say that operation would likely close if the acquisition doesn’t proceed. City Administrator Penny Clayton says the city has a lot riding on the daycare operations…

Emmet county is also allocating $50,000 toward the effort. As Clayton noted, that leaves another $100,000 that needs to be raised.
