(Emmetsburg)– Police in Emmetsburg have made an arrest in connection with a stabbing that took place early this (Sunday) morning at the Super 8 Motel in that city.
Police were called to the scene shortly before 3:00 am and found a 53-year-old suffering from a stab wound. The victim was taken to Palo Alto County Hospital and was transferred to Mercyone North Iowa Memorial in Mason City where at last report he was listed in stable condition.
An investigation into the incident led to the arrest of 41-year-old Juan Montana. He was taken into custody without incident and was charged with attempted murder, a class B felony.
Emmetsburg police say the incident is still under investigation. They’re requesting anyone with additional information into the incident to contact them at 712-852-2424.
