Corridor Announces Winners Of Big IDEA Challenge

(Spencer)– The Iowa Lakes Corridor Development Corporation has announced the winners of its inaugural Big IDEA entrepreneurial challenge. A pitch competition was held Tuesday where five entrepreneurs shared their ideas with the public through a video. The videos were submitted for public viewing in February with the top 5 vote-getters advancing to the pitch competition which included a panel of judges and local investors.

Cody Fuller with Fuller Radiance, LLC of Storm Lake was the 1st place winner, receiving $5,000. Fuller Radiance produces customized gift items. Cayden Fischer, also of Storm Lake, was the 2nd place winner and received $3,000 for his business, Outlaw Kicks, which designs and sells custom painted shoes. Jack Bauermeister and his business, Glacier Made of Arnolds Park, won the 3rd place award of $1,000. The business designs lake wear from swimwear to shirts, sweatshirts and sunglasses. Bauermeister plans to open a physical storefront later this year. Honorable mention went to Vanessa Moore with the Spencer Create Catalyst and Jeff Krage of Boji Bites. Each were awarded $500.
