(Spencer)– Another community flood de-briefing meeting will be held this (Wed.) evening in Spencer. It begins at 6:00 pm at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church Parish Center.
The session will include a presentation from Rick Roe Consulting of Clive. The firm completed a comprehensive review into the cause and conditions of the June 2024 flood and developed a flood response plan that includes a warning system and procedure for public notification. A representative of the Iowa Flood Center is also scheduled to be on hand and there will be a demonstration of a new app that receives live data from the Little Sioux and Ocheyedan River systems.
