Collision South Of Estherville Injures Two People

(Estherville)– A two-vehicle collision this (Fri.) morning at the intersection of Highway Four and 200th Street two miles south of Estherville sent two people to the hospital.

The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office says 23-year-old Breahna Clabaugh of Estherville was eastbound on 200th Street and was attempting to cross Highway Four when she pulled into the path of a northbound vehicle driven by 26-year-old Brittney Currans of Graettinger.

Clabaugh and Currans were both taken by ambulance to Avera Holy Family Hospital in Estherville. There was no word on their conditions or extent of injuries.

Damage estimates to a 2003 Ford van driven by Clabaugh and a 2005 Pontiac driven by Currans weren’t immediately available.

The Emmet County Sheriff’s Office was assisted by Emmet County Emergency Management, Emmet County Conservation and the Estherville Police Department.

The collision took place around 8:15 this (Fri.) morning.
