(Spencer)– A groundbreaking ceremony was held Tuesday on a new facility in Clay county that will be focused on learning about the environment. The Oneota Environmental Learning Center is being constructed by the Clay County Conservation Board. Sheriffa Jones is a member of that board…
“We’re hoping early 2026. Of course with anything, this project especially, we’ve had to adjust timelines a little bit, but hopefully early 2026 so that those spring and summer programs will be able to be kicked off right away in the Environmental Learning Center.”
The new facility will also house the Clay County Conservation Board staff, in addition to classrooms, a large meeting room and a patio area.
