Arnolds Park City Offices Will Temporarily Relocate To Lakes Center Mall For City Complex Project

(Arnolds Park)– City offices will also be temporarily housed out of a unit at the Lakes Center Mall in Arnolds Park while construction is underway on the new city complex. The City Council Wednesday evening approved a lease agreement to locate the offices just a few doors down from the temporary location for the library. City Clerk Linda Nase says it isn’t certain yet when city offices will be relocated…

“That is still being worked out. We had to do a little work over there, a little paint, a little carpet cleaning, maybe add a wall or two, take a wall down. Either first part of July or end of July is kind of what I’m looking at for that.”

Meanwhile, Nase says work on the new Arnolds Park city complex is still scheduled to start late this summer…

“The last we heard they’re hoping to do maybe some groundbreaking in August, mobilization around Labor Day, so then I’m guessing demolition will occur, if everything goes as planned and on schedule, sometime in September.”

As we reported previously the Arnolds Park Police Department and Fire Department will be temporarily located at the former Overhead Doors Sales location in Arnolds Park with city council, planning and zoning and Board of Adjustment meetings being held in the conference room at the Iowa Great Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce.
