Local Entity Awarded Federal Funding

(Des Moines)– Iowa is getting more than two-point-three million dollars to support rural communities. The money comes from the US Department of Agriculture’s Rural Development program. Locally, Spencer-based Iowa Lakes Regional Water System was awarded $24,000 to repair flood damage to its distribution system in Clay county, impacting about 100 households.
