THIER LEADS HUSKIES AT BIG SOUTH BOYS CHAMPIONSHIP

Kyler Thier led the Jackson County Central boys golf team to ninth place at the Big South Boys Conference Championship on Tuesday.
Thier posted a score of 91 in a three-way tie for 15th place with one birdie and five pars on 18 holes at Dacotah Ridge Golf Club.
Tavin Miller was among nine players in 39th place with a score of 98 that featured five pars. Linkon Phillips finished in a three-way tie for 48th place with a score of 99 featuring a pair of pars. Brock Berkner and Jessy Gentry were part of a four-way tie for 66th place with a score of 107. Gavin Pohlman scored 108 in a tie for 70th place.
The JCC boys collected 395 to land in ninth place as a team. St. Peter scored 321 to finish on top of the leaderboard.
The Huskies and Martin County West visit Blue Earth Area on Thursday.
