Kyler Thier led the Jackson County Central boys to victory and Lily Brinkman led the girls during the JCC Invitational on Friday.
Thier finished one stroke off the lead in second place with a total score of 79 on nine holes at the Jackson Golf Club and nine holes at Valley Brook Golf Course in Lakefield.
Tavin Miller was right behind him with 81 in third place. Gavin Pohlman scored 85 for sixth place. Jessy Gentry and Hayden Schultz each shot 87 to take part in a three-way tie for seventh place.
The JCC boys collected 332 for the team win ahead of Fairmont with 337 and Worthington with 357 as Maple River was incomplete.
Spencer Pigman posted 91 in a three-way tie for 11th place. Linkon Phillips shot 94 for 16th place. Colten Gossen finished with 96 for 19th place, Blayze Hillmer had 99 in 20th place, and Josh Miller had 100 in 21st place. Drake Grein scored 102 in 23rd place. Brock Berkner scored 116 for 27th place. Dallas Gossen tied for 27th with 116 on the day. Ayden Endreson shot 123 for 29th place.
Brinkman paced the JCC girls with a total scored of 97 in a tie for fifth place.
Mya Mohns tied for ninth place with 116. Taylor Schultz had 123 in 11th place, Adriana Clark had 136 in 12th place, and Alana Kalvoda had 137 for 13th place.
The JCC girls scored 467 behind event winner Worthington with 373. Maple River and Fairmont were incomplete.
Next up for the Huskies is the Section 3AA Tournament at Oakdale Golf Club in Buffalo Lake on Wednesday.
