The Jackson American Legion baseball team held off Windom at Island Park on Monday.
Post 130 brought home the 11-10 victory over Post 206 in eight innings.
Jackson scored three runs in the first inning. Windom responded with one run in the bottom half. Post 130 added four more in the second and one more in the third for the 8-1 lead. Windom got one more run back in the home half. Post 206 collected four runs in the fifth to make it 8-6 Jackson. Post 130 added one in the sixth for a 9-6 lead. Windom scored three more in the bottom half to tie the game. Jackson added another pair in the seventh.
Windom scored once in the eighth before Braxsten Hall caught a runner stealing and Levi Thompson slammed the door with a strikeout to clinch the victory. Post 130 named Hall the player of the game after he also had an RBI single, a walk, and run scored.
Haiden Warmka had a pair of hits including a double and scored three runs. Talan Holm walked and scored three times. Carson Doescher walked twice, had one hit, and scored once. Holden Stumpf batted in a run, scored, and later hit a single.
Post 130 is scheduled to visit Russell-Tyler-Ruthton on Thursday.
