MILLER, LARSON LEAD TEAMS AT MINN-IOWA

Blue Earth Area at least tied for both team wins during the golf triangular with Jackson County Central and Martin County West at Minn-Iowa Golf Course on Thursday.
Tavin Miller led the JCC boys to a team tie with a score of 39 featuring a pair of birdies and trio of pars for second place individually. Knox Larson led the MCW boys in third place with a score of 40 that included five pars. JCC and BEA each collected 177 in a tie for the team win ahead of the MCW boys with 182 as a team.
Carson Scheff scored 43 in fourth place. Linkon Phillips and Kyler Thier each shot 45 to tie for sixth place. Josh Miller shot 46 for ninth place and Hayden Schultz posted 47 to round out the Top 10. Aiden Sathoff, Gavin Pohlman, and Spencer Pigman each had 48 in a three-way tie for 11th place. Haydn Lillevold and Jessy Gentry each shot 49 for 14th place. Brock Berkner and Torrey Paplow scored 50 in a three-way tie for 16th place. Tanner Anderson shot 51 for 19th place. Payten Sorbel shot 54 in 20th place. Blayze Hillmer shot 61 as part of a three-way tie for 22nd place. Xzavier Moore shot 69 to tie for 26th place.
Taylor Schultz of JCC and Mya Smith of MCW each scored 57 to tie for seventh place to lead the girls teams. BEA collected 186 for the team win ahead of MCW with 254 and JCC was incomplete.
Morgan McCorkell shot 61 in 13th place. Clare Striemer and Aaliyah Bolstad each shot 68 in a tie for 15th place. Adriana Clark and Alana Kalvoda tied for 17th place with a score of 70.
The JCC Invite is on Friday with Worthington, Maple River, and Fairmont visiting the Huskies.
The Mavericks host Alden-Conger and United South Central for a triangular at Fox Lake Golf Club on Friday.
