The Martin County West volleyball team passed a test at home against Cedar Mountain on Monday.
MCW took the clash of unbeaten teams in four sets in Trimont.
The Mavericks took the first set 25-20, the Cougars tied the match with a 25-16 win in the second set, and MCW clinched the match with wins of 25-21 in the third and 25-19 in the fourth.
Brynlee Haukos led MCW with 14 kills and a pair of aces. Jaylee Hanson had a team-high four blocks and 10 kills. Ida Rohman collected 42 set assists.
Maddie Carlson had 12 kills and one ace. Bailey Larson added 10 kills of her own. Gianna Chase had four kills. Sydney Clow had one ace.
The 6-0 Mavericks host Alden-Conger on Thursday.
