Knox Larson led the Martin County West boys golf team and Clare Paulson led the girls in their home triangular at Fox Lake Golf Club on Friday.
Larson was just three strokes off the lead and two over par with a score of 37 on nine holes.
Tanner Anderson scored 48 to tie for 11th place, Carson Scheff shot 52 in a tie for 14th place, Riley Ebeling shot 63 in 16th place, and Xzavier Moore shot 74 in 17th place.
The MCW boys took third place with 200 behind United South Central with 161 and Alden-Conger with 175 in the team scores.
Paulson scored 50 on nine holes to finish third place.
Aaliyah Bolstad shot 54 in fifth place, Mya Smith shot 56 in sixth place, and Morgan McCorkell shot 57 in seventh place.
Alden Conger won the girls event with 207 ahead of MCW with 217 and USC with 260 in the team scores.
The Mavericks host Mountain Lake Area-Comfrey and St. Clair on Monday.
