The Mountain Lake Lakers captured a fifth straight Southern Plains Football League championship on Saturday.
The Lakers dominated the Omaha Stockmen 42-9 in Hawarden, Iowa.
The defense and special teams set the tone from the opening whistle with each contributing a touchdown to give us an early spark. Seth Stai and Micah Holmberg controlled the ground game all afternoon. Eli Samuelson spread the ball around and connected with receivers across the field to keep the offense rolling.
Teammates, coaches, and players from across the league selected nine Lakers as SPFL All-Stars this year.
