The Jackson County Central baseball season came to a hard-fought end in Windom on Tuesday.
The Eagles held off the Huskies 5-3 at Island Park.
Carson Kolander singled to score Ben Gallagher for the 1-0 JCC lead in the top of the first inning.
Windom scored twice in the bottom half to make it 2-1 Eagles.
Gage Johnson doubled to score Jace Jorgenson as the Huskies tied it 2-2 in the third.
Windom scored once more in the home half and then again in the fourth and sixth to make it 5-2 Eagles.
The Huskies loaded the bases and Ryan Fricke scored during their final chance in the seventh but the Eagles managed to shut the door.
Jorgenson had a pair of hits including a double. Johnson smacked two singles. Holm and Gallagher had one single.
Holm went the distance for JCC and tossed his 100th career strikeout among a pair of K’s.
The Huskies finished the season with a 5-14 overall record.
