The Jackson County Central softball team dominated New London-Spicer on Saturday in Marshall to advance straight back to the section semifinal round.
The top South seed Huskies beat the #2 North seed Wildcats 15-0 in four innings to stay unbeaten in this year’s Section 3AA Tournament.
JCC scored 10 runs in the first inning, added two more in the second, and three more in the third.
Miley VanDevere batted in four runs featuring a three-run home run in the first among two hits. Bailey Finck had three hits including a double and plated a pair. Kinley VanDeVere scored a pair of runs with a double. Hadley Wachal had a pair of hits including a double and scored twice. Brielle Tufvesson had a pair of hits, plated a run, stole a pair of bases, and scored twice. Braelyn Boogerd sacrificed a run home and scored twice. Clara Brinks had a hit, run, and RBI.
Mady Wachal tossed six strikeouts in the first three innings and Kelcie Sillman struck out the side in the fourth. Mady Wachal also had a pair of hits including a double and batted in two runs.
The 23-1 Huskies have won 20 straight games.
Morris Area/Chokio-Alberta survived Pipestone Area 2-1 in nine innings on Saturday. The 23-3 Tigers set up a Top-10 showdown of top seeds in the Tuesday championship semifinal.

Pipestone is playing New London-Spicer in the elimination bracket semifinal on Tuesday as well.

Redwood Valley took out Dassel-Cokato 7-6 and Luverne ended Litchfield 8-4. Pipestone took out Redwood Valley 10-9 and New London-Spicer crushed Luverne 17-4.
