Evelynn Christenson of Martin County West/Butterfield-Odin cross country is headed back to the State Meet.
The Mavericks junior earned her third trip to State with a season-best time at the section meet. She earned All-Valley honors with yet another Mavericks-leading performance at the Tomahawk/Valley Conference Meet.
She placed 84th in 2024 and 36th in 2025 out of 160 runners. Those results happened at the former Les Bolstad Golf Course site.
The MSHSL Cross Country Running State Championship moved to Majestic Oaks Golf Course in Ham Lake this year.
The Class A girls race begins at 12:15 p.m. with the awards scheduled for 1:30 p.m.
