Evelynn Christenson was the top individual performer for the Martin County West cross country team during the Tomahawk Valley Preseason Meet at Springfield Golf Club on Friday.
Christenson posted a time of 21:26.1 to finish fourth place in the girls race. Loyola-Cleveland-St. Clair topped the team scores.
Paige Hartwig had 26:38.7 in 24th place and Reece Peters had 34:48.6 in 44th place out of 49 runners to complete the MCW girls high school effort.
Brody Cook posted 20:01.2 in ninth place and Elliot Reynolds went 20:08.3 right behind him to lead MCW to third place in the team scores. Minnesota Valley Lutheran took home the boys team win.
Marek Mulder had 20:57.9 in 18th place, Conrad Gwin had 21:05.9 in 21st place, Beckett White had 25:22.1 in 45th place, and Carter Cole had 30:26.8 in 53rd place out of 53 runners for the MCW boys.
