The Jackson County Central baseball team lost to Fairmont at Wacker Field on Tuesday night.
The Cardinals beat the Huskies 14-2 in five innings.
Ben Gallagher walked aboard and later scored the first JCC run in the first inning. Jace Jorgenson singled and later scored on a wild pitch in the third for the other Huskies run. Haiden Warmka had the other JCC hit. Talan Holm walked twice.
Carson Doescher pitched four innings with six runs and five of them earned on nine hits. He also had five strikeouts and three walks. Josh Thompson allowed seven runs with three of them earned on two hits and four walks during the fifth. Levi Thompson got the last two outs with one run, one walk, and one strikeout from the mound.
The 5-12 Huskies have lost seven straight games with a trip to Murray County Central next Tuesday for their regular season finale.
