HUSKIES READY TO RETURN HOME

The Jackson County Central baseball team returns home for the first time in nearly a month against Redwood Valley on Friday.

Huskies head coach Easton Bahr says it will be good to finally have another gameday at Wacker Field.

The 3-5 Huskies started the season 2-0 before losing four of their last five during a six-game road swing since the March 31 season opener. JCC is looking to turn around a 16-0 road loss to the 3-3 Cardinals that happened on Thursday.
Coach Bahr says it’s a rare opportunity.

Coverage begins at 4:45 on KKOJ and Explore Live Video.

The pregame on Friday will feature special recognition of the victims and survivors of the recent tragic accident. JCC will also honor Mike Wierson for his years of service to the program. Wierson and former Huskies pitcher Brett Rossow, who is one of the accident survivors, will both throw out ceremonial first pitches on Friday.
