CARDINALS SURPASS HUSKIES FOR ROAD VICTORY AT WACKER FIELD

The Jackson County Central baseball team endured a third straight loss on Tuesday at home against Luverne.
The Cardinals beat the Huskies 13-1 at Wacker Field.
JCC took the early lead when Ben Gallagher singled aboard and later scored on a wild pitch. Luverne scored 13 unanswered runs after that with six in the second, one more in the third, another in the fourth, another in the sixth, and four more in the seventh.
Talan Holm pitched the most for JCC with eight runs allowed and three of them earned on 10 hits plus a trio of strikeouts and walks in four innings. Joshua Thompson dealt one walk in the fifth. Levi Thompson allowed one hit, one run, and one walk to go with one strikeout in the sixth. Kash Gilbert surrendered four runs with one of them earned on two hits plus one strikeout and one walk in the seventh.
Gallagher and Joshua Thompson each had one walk while Holm had the only other hit for JCC.
The 5-8 Huskies have lost three straight games with a visit to Windom up next on Thursday and we will have that game on KKOJ.
