VENTURE CLUB – PETALS & VINES

Friday, August 16, 2024 – 8:30am-1:30pm

Starting at 8:30am from the Extension Office (Fairgrounds) in Spirit Lake

Ending at approx. 1:30pm after lunch

Get your friends together or come alone and meet new friends…either way, join us for a fun day of exploring around Superior.

We will carpool to Petal Barn Flower Farm and Little Swan Lake Winery with a stop at Softail Saloon for lunch.

TRIP ITINERARY
8:30 a.m. Meet at the ISU Extension and Outreach Dickinson County Office
(Located at the Fairgrounds, 1600 15th St., Spirit Lake)
9 a.m. Arrive at Petal Barn Flower Farm
Petal Barn Flower Farm is a new cut flower farm near Estherville.
Carpool to Little Swan Lake Winery
Little Swan Lake Winery is family owned and operated near Superior.
The tasting room, a remodeled 1920’s barn, features 35 different wines
all produced on site, a selection of gourmet cheeses, and buffalo meat
from the herd which roams nearby. The vineyard consists of two acres
of northern cold hardy grapes, and a renovated grain elevator serves as
a bed and breakfast on site.
Carpool to Softail Saloon
Softail Saloon is open year-round in Superior, just a few minutes from
the Iowa Great Lakes. Their menu features appetizers, burgers,
sandwiches, salads, and steaks. There is something for everyone at the
Softail Saloon!
