No School Day Camp (4th-8th Grade)

oes your child not have school on January 20th? The Dickinson County Nature Center is offering several No School Day Camps. On Monday, January 20th, from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., 4th-8th graders can enjoy an “Outdoor Day at Horseshoe Bend”!

Campers will learn about Dutch oven cooking by using the equipment, making a recipe, and savoring the final product! We will also craft some Tie Dye winter hats, and campers will learn about primitive weapons and fire-building techniques. There will also be a wilderness hike to look for wildlife, tracks and signs on the trails of Horseshoe Bend Wildlife Area.

Two snacks are included with the registration fee of $15, but a sack lunch and refillable water container for each child is required. Please preregister children by 5:00 p.m. on January 17th by going to the Programs/Events page at www.dickinsoncountynaturecenter.com. Like and follow the Dickinson
