Changing leaves and crisp air means autumn is here, and so are fall camps at Lakeside Lab!
Lakeside Lab and ISU Extension and Outreach Dickinson County are excited to partner for No School Camps and Homeschool Explore Camps this October and November. No School Camps for K – 4th grade students will be held 9:00am – 3:00pm October 28th, a day off for Harris-Lake Park and Graettinger–Terril, November 7, a day off for Okoboji and October 11, a day off for Spirit Lake. If your student is not in these districts but still has the day off, they are welcome to attend. Each of the No School Camps will have the same activities and schedule.
“Fall camps are a great way to inspire children’s natural curiosity about nature and explore our natural world” said Ashley Scheve, Education Coordinator at Lakeside Lab. “If you miss camp with Lakeside or ISU extension, or want to try one out, this is a great opportunity to do so!”
All our fall camps will include outdoor exploration, games, crafts, STEM activities and more! Students will need to dress appropriately for the weather and bring a refillable water bottle. Lunch and two snacks will be provided by Lakeside’s kitchen.
Fall camps will cost $20 per student and registration will open at 10am on Friday, October 7th at www.iowalakesidelab.org. There will also be a link to the registration page posted on our Facebook page. Financial assistance is available, and the application can be found on Lakeside’s website. Camp will be limited to 16 students so be sure to get your child signed up early!
