Kenue Coffee Hour – Dickinson County Nature Center

The Dickinson County Nature Center welcomes adults to Kenue Coffee Hour. This free program will be held on Thursday, December 7, at 10:30 a.m. 

This month’s speaker is Buena Vista Conservation Naturalist, Katie Struss, who will present about turtles. Katie will be bringing several of her scaly friends, including a snapping turtle, a painted turtle, and a map turtle, to name a few. 

“I think the audience’s reaction to seeing these beautiful reptiles will be a highlight of the program,” says EE Coordinator Danika Cox. 

She also states, “I am hoping that attendees will begin to form a personal connection with Iowa wildlife, especially turtles, and then nurture that connection by finding ways to help protect and preserve these animals.”
