HOMESCHOOL ED-VENTURE (AGES 5-12)

Thursday, April 18, 2024 – 10:30am – Dickinson County Nature Center

We are heading outside to identify trees for Homeschool Ed-ventures! Join us on Thursday, April 18^th, at 10:30 a.m. at the Dickinson County Nature Center. This free program offers hands-on science lessons for our homeschooled youth, ages 5-12.

To celebrate Earth Day and Arbor Day, we are headed outdoors to learn how trees provide habitat and resources for wildlife and humans; there may even be some taste testing involved. Attendees will also learn about the different characteristics and parts of trees that aid in identification. EE Coordinator Danika Cox is looking forward to seeing kids test out the products that trees provide. “Allowing kids to use their senses to get information about something gives them a strong connection to it. My hope is that they will care more about trees and strive to protect them.”
