Happy Arbor Day! Family Nature Night: Tree Hugging

Happy Arbor Day! The Dickinson County Conservation Board is celebrating as we host Family Nature Night: Tree Hugging. We are heading outdoors for a scavenger hunt on Friday, April 26th, at 5:00 p.m. You better be-leaf that attendees will also use their creativity to make a craft to take home. Families will also learn about the resources that trees provide for wildlife and humans. 

Environmental Education Coordinator Danika Cox is excited to bring new light to subject of trees. “My hope is that trees, which for many is a boring topic, become something fun and interesting!” Cox said that she is looking forward to the scavenger hunt, stating, “It’s a great opportunity to be out in nature together while looking at trees in a new way. It also gives people a chance to explore parts of nature that are often overlooked.”
