Can you dig it? The Dickinson County Nature Center welcomes families of all ages to Family Nature Night: The Scoop on Soil on June 28th at 5:00 p.m.
The night kicks off with an interactive puppet show for all to enjoy. Following this, guests will be actively involved in soil exploration stations. To top it off, one of our animal ambassadors will make a special appearance for a meet and greet with everyone that evening.
Soil is the foundational media that allows us to continue living.
“Most people take soil for granted, but it is something we need to cherish and protect. Whether it is the food we grow, the lumber we need for building, or the precious metals and gemstones we use to create jewelry, none of it would be possible without soil,” commented Danika Cox, environmental education coordinator.
Family Nature Night encourages families to make lasting memories while learning about natural surroundings.
“The memories kids create with their parents foster a love and appreciation of nature that can grow into environmental stewardship as they become adults,” Cox said.
Family Nature Night lasts about an hour and requires preregistration online at no cost. Please visit www.dickinsoncountynaturecenter.com and visit our Facebook and Instagram pages for the latest news and updates about the Nature Center.
