Emmetsburg Community Blood Drive

July is almost here! It’s the month of backyard barbecues, parades, fireworks, red-white-and-blue everything, and celebrating America’s birthday.

While we’re all busy debating who makes the best potato salad and trying not to burn the burgers, hospitals never get a holiday from needing blood. In fact, summer is one of the most challenging times of the year to maintain an adequate blood supply.

LifeServe Blood Center is asking for your help in spreading the word about an upcoming community blood drive. Whether through church bulletins, community newsletters, social media, radio announcements, employee communications, or local newspapers, your support helps connect lifesaving donors with patients in need.

You never know who might need a blood transfusion. It could be:

• A neighbor undergoing cancer treatment.
• A local child facing a serious illness.
• A grandparent having heart surgery.
• Someone involved in a car accident on their way home from the lake.
• The person who thought lighting three fireworks at once was a great idea. (It wasn’t.)

By helping spread the word, you’re helping ensure blood is available when neighbors, friends, family members, and coworkers need it most.
