Wednesday, January 8, 2025 – 1:30pm
Is your little one (2-5 years old) trying to learn the alphabet? The Dickinson County Nature Center provides a free monthly program – Nature Tots, and the theme for 2025 is Animals ABC’s.
On Wednesday, January 8th, at 10:30 a.m. and 1:30 p.m., learn about the letters “A” and “B” for Nature Tots “Ants and Beetles.”
The program will start with reading a story about big bugs, and our young nature enthusiasts can practice crawling and hopping like various insects. They will also closely examine some of the Nature Center’s preserved insect mounts.
Attendees will develop motor skills by making a bug collection, searching through sensory bins for letters that match the correct insect, and learning about insect body parts using creative crafting skills and assembling cutout materials.
Nature Tots lasts about 45 minutes and is a free monthly program and requires a chaperone. Please register by 5 p.m. on January 6th under the Programs/Events page at www.dickinsoncountynaturecenter.com. Registration for each event opens 2 months prior to the event.
