DICKINSON COUNTY NATURE CENTER – FAMILY NATURE NIGHT: ANIMAL OPEN HOUSE

Friday, November 17, 2023 – 5PM

Naturalist, Britney Snell stated, “This night is all about a nature center visit with a twist! It’s the same amazing fun as your family always has, but we will also have meet and greets with our animal ambassadors.” 

 This an excellent opportunity to see our popular animal ambassadors like Steve, the bearded dragon, and our shy and nocturnal ambassadors like Luna, the hedgehog.  Kids can make their own paper snake and a colorful hedgehog to take home.    

Environmental Education Coordinator, Danika Cox said what she is most looking forward to is, “Giving kids the opportunity to see an animal they may not necessarily be comfortable with and getting them to open their minds and maybe even change their opinion about that animal.”
