Band Concert to Celebrate 30 Years at Arnolds Park Amusement Park

Free to the public. The Northwest Iowa Concert, directed by Rich Nicklay, will present their annual summer concert at the Arnolds Park Amusement Park Majestic Pavilion, Sunday, July 24, 2:00pm. This will be the 30th anniversary of the band performing a summer concert at the park. The band is made up of volunteers from area communities, including  Armstrong, Emmetsburg, Estherville, Lake Park, Milford, Ringsted, Spirit Lake, and Swea City.  Music selections will include marches, overtures, patriotic, and sing-a-longs,  The band started the concerts in 1992 playing on the pier. After the flood of 1993, they moved to the Amusement Park courtyard under the flagpole. Several years later they moved inside the Majestic Pavilion for the comfort of the audience and the band members.
