Spirit Lake Baseball Blanks HLP

The Spirit Lake High School Baseball team jumped out to a 2-0 first inning lead over Harris-Lake Park, yesterday afternoon, and then blew it open in the fourth, when the Indians went through their entire batting order and scored five runs in the inning.

They scored three more runs in the Bottom of the 5th, and the game came to an end with Spirit Lake up by a final score of 10-0.  The Indians improve to 2-0, and the Wolves are now 0-1 after dropping their season opener.

Paul Brown got the win, on the mound, for Spirit Lake.  He pitched nine strike outs in five innings, as he held the Wolves scoreless, and allowed just two HLP players to get on base.  He also hit two doubles and scored three runs.
