Park Softball team was the overall winner in the 2nd Annual Harris Lake Park
Invitational.
The Wolves beat Unity Christian, in their opening game,
6-5. Macy Gunderson was 2-for-3 at the
plate win an RBI and two runs scored.
Mariah Gath was 3-for-4 with three runs scored.
Gunderson got the win on the mound as she allowed seven hits
in seven innings; struck out four, walked two, and allowed one earned run.
Central Lyon blanked
George-Little Rock/Laurens-Marathon, 11-0, in the other opening round match up.
HLP won the Championship game as the Wolves beat Central Lyon, 5-3.
Gunderson picked up another win in the mound as she game up two earned
runs in seven innings. Noreen Morrow was
1-for-2 with 2 RBIs. Gath was 2-for-3 with two runs scored.
They are home, today, against North
Union. North Union improved
to 21-2, Saturday, with wins over both MOC-Floyd Valley
and Estherville-Lincoln Central.
The Okoboji Softball team is home, today, against
Boyden-Hull/Rock Valley. BH/RV is
winners of 14 in a row, including a 13-1 win over the Pioneers on June 3rd.
