The Sibley-Ocheydan softball team jumped out to a 5-1 lead
over Okoboji, heading into the bottom of the third, last night in Milford, when the Pioneers
scored four runs to tie the game at 5. The
Generals responded with three more runs in the top of the 4th, and
that would be all the scoring they would need as Sibley Ocheydan beat the
Pioneers, 8-5.
Jurnea Harberts got the win, on the mound for the Generals,
as she pitched three strikeouts, and went 1-for-3 at the plate with two runs
scored. McKenzie Kleve was 2-for-3 with
three runs scored.
Sibley-Ocheydan is now 6-14, they’re home against Trinity
Christian, tomorrow.
Okoboji falls to 6-17, and will host Newell-Fonda, tomorrow.
