The Okoboji baseball team opened up their season Wednesday night with a 14-3 win on the road at Graettinger-Terril/Ruthven-Aryshire. 11 of those runs came in the top of the 7th inning. Matt Eckard went 4 for 5 from the plate for the Pioneers with 3 runs scored. Houston Hawkins scored 4 times in a 2 for 4 night hitting. Hawkins also got the start, pitching 5 innings ans surrendering just one earned run while striking out 7. Okoboji is home Friday night against Alta-Aurelia.
