West Lyon scored the games first points on a 59 yard touchdown run by Dylan Huyser late in the 1st quarter and never looked back in route to a 35 – 7 victory over Emmetsburg Friday. Huyser would get another score in the 2nd quarter and West Lyon led 14 – 0 at the half. After a 40 minute lightning delay, the Wildcats came out in the 3rd quarter and put it away scoring 2 more touchdowns. Emmetsburg would finally get on the board with :25 left on a 10 yard run by quarterback Zach Anderson but it was too little too late.
West Lyon nearly had 3 players with 100 yards rushing and were led by Dylan Huyser with 130 yards and 2 touchdowns. West Lyon would finish with 390 yards of offense. Emmetsburg was led by Jacob Kibbie’s 83 yards rushing and were held to 206 yards of offense.
West Lyon is 3 – 1 and Emmetsburg drops to 2 – 2. The E’hawks will travel to St. Ansgar next Friday on Y 100.
