The Martin County West football team visits winless Gibbon-Fairfax-Winthrop on Friday night looking for another dominant victory.
The 3-1 Mavericks have only lost a visit to state-ranked Mayer Lutheran so far this year. MCW has a combined score of 160-16 with two shutouts included in a trio of wins over teams with a combined record 1-11 so far. They now look to avenge a 20-point loss to GFW from last year.
The 0-4 Firebirds are looking to build toward winning football against stiff competition. Lac qui Parle Valley and St. James Area as well as unbeatens Mayer Lutheran and Cleveland all have a combined record of 13-3 so far this year. GFW has put points on the board in three of their four games with the exception coming against St. James in the second week of the season.
Coverage begins at 6:40 p.m. with the kickoff at 7:00 p.m. on Xtreme.
