(Sioux City)– A Hull man has been sentenced after pleading guilty in federal court to child exploitation charges.
The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of Iowa says 31-year-old Evan Marra entered the plea Thursday to one count each of possession of child pornography and producing, receiving and distributing obscene material depicting sexual abuse of children.
During a court hearing, Marra admitted to receiving and possessing the images from November 1st, 2019 through May 14th, 2026. Law enforcement received CyberTips from a cellphone cloud-storage provider and recognized one image as AI-generated materials depicting minors from the Hull area.
Sentencing is pending completion of a pre-sentence report.
Marra Remains in the custody of a U.S. Marshal in the meantime.
The case was investigated by the Sioux County Sheriff’s Office.
