Huskies hungry for homecoming victory over Arrows

The top-ranked Jackson County Central football team is seeking a 30th straight win with Pipestone going to Jackson on a homecoming Friday night.

The 3-0 Huskies return home after back-to-back wins on the road.

JCC is scoring 40 points per game with every phase of the game scoring at least once this year. The Huskies are allowing 11 points per game featuring a shutout defensive performance on the road against Lake Crystal-Wellcome Memorial two weeks ago. JCC routed Sibley East last week and pulled away from Maple River at home in the season opener.

The young, banged-up Arrows are 1-2 after a shutout loss to Minnesota Valley Lutheran in their homecoming game last week.

Pipestone took care of Windom two weeks ago after getting routed by state-ranked Redwood Valley in the season opener. The Arrows scoring output is similar to the Huskies allowance average at 11 points per game. They are also surrendering 25 points per week so far.

JCC has active winning streaks of 29 straight games and 36 in the regular season dating back to the 2021 regular season finale where the Arrows got the win in Pipestone.

Coverage begins at 6:40 p.m. with kickoff at 7:00 p.m. on your hometown Huskies station, KKOJ.
