(Spencer)– The city of Spencer is the recipient of a Community Catalyst Building Remediation Grant from the Iowa Economic Development Authority. City officials say it will support ongoing efforts to rebuild and revitalize Spencer’s downtown district following the historic flooding in 2024. A press release doesn’t mention a dollar amount of the award.
City officials say they are finalizing project contracts with the IEDA and anticipate moving into the implementation phase shortly.
They add that further updates regarding applications windows for property owners and project timelines will be provided as they become available.
