(Windom, Mn.)– One person is hospitalized following a stand-off early Saturday morning in Windom.
Police were called to the 1000 block of Drake Avenue a little after 3:00 am after getting a report of shots fired. Police heard additional shots being fired as they arrived. Residents in the neighborhood were told to shelter in place as authorities established a perimeter around the scene. The HEAT tactical team was called for assistance.
One person was taken into custody and was taken to a hospital for treatment of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. That person’s identity has not been released, nor have any additional details into the incident.
It’s uncertain as to if any charges were filed.
