(Arnolds Park)– Meeting in special session this (Friday) afternoon, the Arnolds Park City Council voted to make an offer to purchase property at 25 Hinshaw Street at a price not to exceed $299,000. It’s across the street from the new Arnolds Park Civic Center (city hall/offices, library, police and fire station) currently under construction, and would be used as a public parking lot.
Meanwhile, city officials now say they plan to occupy the new facility in early January, 2027. Substantial completion is scheduled for this coming December 1st, with paving to be completed in five weeks.
The update goes on to say basement fencing has been pushed back to the first week of October, with shelving set for the second week of October. Construction on a monument sign is scheduled to begin next week with completion in four weeks. Installation of flooring got underway this week. Installation of the library stone and fireplace is now complete. Work on a retaining wall is scheduled for completion next week.
