(Okoboji)– An ordinance regulating bicycles, electric scooters, low-speed E-bikes and other micromobility devices is going on the books in Okoboji.
The city council last week adopted the measure following a public hearing, but the vote wasn’t unanimous. Councilman Jim Delperdang was among those voting in favor. He admitted it’s going to be very difficult to enforce such an ordinance, but Delperdang says the city needs to at least have something in writing…
Votes to waive the 2nd and 3rd readings and for final adoption were 4-1, with councilman Dan Sanders casting the dissenting vote.
